HOPES was founded in 2008 by the Racine Dominicans. Although HOPES is no longer a Racine Dominican sponsored ministry, we remain true to the values instilled by our “Founding Mothers.”
An Alliance Member
HOPES is a member of the Homelessness and Housing Alliance of Racine County, formerly known as the Continuum of Care for the City and County of Racine . HOPES collaborates closely with other organizations that work with people who are homeless, at risk of homelessness, and/or have a mental health challenge.
A Non Profit
HOPES has tax exempt status as a 501(c)(3) non-profit entity with Tax ID Number 26-3080281.
A Service Provider
HOPES provides services directly to people experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of homelessness in their journey to a stable home. Services are provided at the HOPES Center office, on the streets at night, and other remote locations.
HOPES is the chair of the Continuum of Care’s Point-in-Time Count Work Group, that organizes the annual count of people experiencing homelessness in Racine.
